Since first visiting ebay I have become completely addicted. If you are the sort of person who cannot avoid the big shiny Sale signs in shops and would buy things that you do not need just because they are reduced. Or even worse one of those people (like me) who then goes on to justify the ludicrous amount of money that I have just spent by repeatedly telling people how much the stuff would have cost and therefore how much I have saved, then please avoid this site.

You can buy almost anything here from electrical equipment to cd's videos and even clothes, though my experience is mainly limited to CD's, and many items are much cheaper than you could get them anywhere else.

Some of it specialist hat you would not be able to get from a shop in the UK. This includes things like Japanese model kits and DVD's. The format of buying is quite easy too. You simple search for what you want and a list of open auctions appear. The list shows how long is left and what price the item is currently on. If you find something you like you can choose how much you wish to bid on that item.

EBay gives you links all across the globe. You can pretty much buy anything from anywhere from anyone. It shows again how the internet aids globalisation. This time in my view for the better as it provides a platform to make money and exchange specialist items from other cultures.
